Our fleet of heavy haulage pilot cars complies with the Highways Agency’s self escorting of abnormal loads code of practice. Coupled with this, our qualified workforce allows us to skillfully and safely escort abnormal and wide load projects throughout the UK.
With meticulous planning in place ahead of each and every heavy transport project, our team can also liaise with and arrange all police escort duties and requirements as demanded by the Police Authorities.
Abnormal Load Notifications
Our permits team prepare the necessary haulage notifications for third parties including abnormal load permits, BE16 Special Order and VR1 permits.
This service includes liaison with police escorts, local authorities and the inclusion of Highways Agency “water preferred” documentation where required.
Working closely with Collett’s heavy transport and haulage departments, our permits team prepare transport permits and notifications for every abnormal, heavy and oversized transport project we undertake.
