GENERAL HAULAGE LOGISTICS
Operating from our depots in Halifax, Bradford, Goole and Grangemouth, our diverse general haulage fleet is available for long and short-term contract distribution or immediate spot hire, we also offer a rapid response delivery service.
All our Depots feature storage and warehousing facilities providing a cargo handling and de-vanning service.
In addition, our Halifax Depot operates a calibrated weighbridge facility up to 60 Tonnes to conform with the SOLAS containerisation regulations.
OUR GENERAL HAULAGE FLEET
Our expansive fleet of vehicles consists of both rigid flat bed and curtain sided vehicles from 4 to 8 metres long, and our artic vehicle fleet consists of 13.6 metre flats, curtains and Euroliners complete with twist locks and side protection if required.
Across our Depots in Halifax, Goole & Grangemouth we also operate step-frame and extendable trailers including rear steer.
To compliment our general haulage fleet, our variety of crane vehicles and lorry loaders provide a flexible loading and offloading solution.
Cargo Tracking
Collett’s vehicles, across both our heavy transport and general haulage operations, are equipped with satellite tracking systems and digital communications. This provides our Traffic Office and our customers with real-time and historical travel information.
As a result, this tracking ensures that we can follow the entire journey of your cargo from collection, through transport and distribution, to final delivery, providing up-to-date progress information and an accurate time of arrival.
Complete Transport Solutions
With front and rear mounted rigid and articulated crane vehicles offering lifting capacities ranging from 9 Tonne/Metre to 205 Tonne/Metre, operated by our ALLMI Certified Drivers, we can quickly and efficiently undertake lifting and positioning tasks without the need for hiring mobile cranes.
