DRIVER ASSESSOR / Driver CPC TRAINER

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Driver Assessor / Driver CPC Trainer to join our Compliance team at our Halifax Depot. This permanent, full-time position involves working closely with the Compliance team and reporting directly to the Compliance Director. The role requires you to assist with all training duties and conduct regular driver assessments. You will be a key part of ensuring the continued success of the team, providing training and assessments to maintain high standards across the company.

Responsiblities

  • Delivering Driver CPC training sessions.
  • Conducting Driver Assessments (experience preferred).
  • Maintaining accurate training records for all internal and external sessions.
  • Participating in the development of our training facility by creating and delivering new training courses.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Essential Criteria:
  • Experience in vocational assessments (formal assessment qualification preferred).
  • JAUPT-approved Driver CPC training experience.
  • Competence in documentation, reporting, and maintaining records.
  • Proficiency in IT systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Cat B minimum; C+E advantageous).
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in LGV Driver Assessments.
  • Formal teaching qualification (PETTLS / AET).
  • ITTSAR / RTITB Registered Trainer.
  • FORS Approved Safe Urban Driving Trainer.
  • Manual Handling Trainer.

LOCATION AND CONDITIONS

This role is based at our head office in Halifax, with occasional travel to our depots in Goole and Grangemouth, Scotland. UK travel may be required for site visits, meetings, and client service.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, though overtime and weekend work may be necessary depending on business needs. A valid UK driving licence is essential. You will receive 28 days’ holiday per year (including Bank Holidays), and company pension contributions (subject to conditions). We also offer a Holiday Purchase Scheme and cover overnight subsistence costs when working away from base.
