David Completes The Collett Jog
Managing Director David Collett completed the ultimate challenge, running 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats in aid of Overgate Hospice.
After setting off from Land’s End on 3rd July, 1000 miles later Dave Collett has completed his incredible Collett Jog, running the length of the country from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money for Overgate Hospice.
Over the course of 10 weeks, Dave has been joined by family and friends along his voyage, with some added ParkRun tourism for good measure, all in aid of this fantastic charity. Through the stifling heat of summer, torrential rain and with a couple of blisters along the way, on 13th September Dave arrived at John O’Groats to be greeted with a police escort to the finish line!
Supporting Overgate Hospice
Although he’s completed his journey, the fundraising doesn’t stop! Having already raised over £14,000, Dave’s JustGiving page is still open and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Overgate Hospice is an independent charity that Collett & Sons work closely with and provide an important service the local community.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the support crews, friends, family, Northowram Pumas and all the other kind hearted souls and wonderful people that I have met en-route (too many to mention by name, you know who you are) as well as the generous people who have donated to my just giving page and made it worth the effort.
From everyone at Collett & Sons, we want to say how proud we are of what Dave has achieved and he’s a true inspiration to the company. However… it’s time to get back to work!
